A Study in Black: CO2 Investigations

Black is the colour of carbon, but when this element is in the air it becomes invisible, impossible to detect with the senses. Yet someone understood its role profoundly and someone else was able to search for it in the atmosphere before it - in its chemical forms of carbon dioxide and methane - became a planetary emergency. This game-conference retraces its history: Saussure, Fourier, Tyndall, Arhenius and Keeling are just some of the names, unknown to most, of the scientific detectives who gradually and with a thousand difficulties uncovered what was happening to the Earth, enabling human societies today to develop strategies for survival and adaptation.
